#19: Frankie and the Knockouts – (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life
There are certain criteria when it comes to writing a song. Generally speaking there needs to be a beginning, a chorus, a bridge, and an ending. But the way a song looks and sounds has a lot to do with what purpose it has. If it is for a cartoon show or a romantic film, chances are these songs will be different.
Having originally been recorded in 1981 by Frankie and the Knockouts, the creators of the film were very keen to have it featured in the film. Now, we can’t imagine this film without this song! The criteria for the song the creators wanted were very specific, and this song just so happened to fit absolutely perfectly.
