#7: Christine Larson (February 24, 1918 – August 5, 2002)

Minnesota native Marjorie Peterson, known professionally as Christine Larson, traded her classical theater roots for Hollywood at the start of the 1950s. Producers valued her intense gaze and commanding screen presence, casting her frequently in early TV crime dramas and sci-fi series. She solidified her place in cult cinema with her lead role in the 1951 thriller Valley of Fire.
