They say that if you drop your electronics in water, you should place it in a bag or bowl of rice right away. Dry rice grains will draw out as much water as possible, and dry grains of rice will do just that. Sure, your electronic won’t be as good as new, but it’ll at least turn on.
But the key is to place the electronic in a container of dry rice grains. This woman who dropped tea on her laptop couldn’t have been more wrong. First of all, why would you think dumping cooked rice on a laptop would do anything? Also, is that fried rice? If so, did she pull out of the bits of meat and vegetables?
