This tenant ended up with a large hole in his carpet, we’re not sure how, but these things can sometimes happen. He cut out the damaged section and, like a conscientious tenant, contacted his landlord to ask them to come and fix the damaged carpet. The response he got wasn’t quite what he was expecting.
Instead of discussing options with the tenant, talking about replacing the carpet, or even bringing over a nice big rug to cover the hole, this landlord did something else. He brought over a small doormat with a pretty cheeky sign and stapled it over the gap in the carpet. Imagine having to look at that every day.
