While you may see one or two now and again, metal playgrounds are mainly a thing of the past. While playgrounds are not the most protected space for children to run around, they have always been an excellent way to utilize being outside.

The old-fashioned playgrounds quite literally would burn you from how hot they were, give you a static shock, or give you indiscriminatory cuts. Even though they weren’t the safest things, many kids of the ’80s look back on metal playgrounds with love.
