This woman’s five-year-old broached the topic when he asked about his “recently dead grandma.” He asked her why granny passed away. “Well, she was older and it was just her time.” “You’re prolly next,” he shot back. It seems like this kid understands the concept of death pretty well – he realized that the older you get, the closer you are to death. That’s probably why he remarked that his father was next in line. Talk about dark! Maybe it’s better not to open this subject with young children, if it makes them say things like that.
