The thing about unpaid internships is that it’s kind of a lose-lose situation that no one talks about. Employers can’t give interns too much real responsibility and so interns feel underworked and undervalued. At least everyone gets to say they’ve done the right thing, interns get something to put on their resume and companies get praise for taking them on.
