When it comes to getting the most use out of tiny spaces, no one does it better than the Japanese. In the US, we’re accustomed to living in wide, open spaces. In Japan, since the country is so compact, and Tokyo is one of the most densely populated cities on the planet, the government and businessmen had to get creative.

One way they exercised their creativity is by creating individual capsules complete with TV and internet for guests. Best of all, it costs just about $25 per night, so budget-conscious travelers can have a decently comfortable place to stay.
