Rainwater collector
Now, here’s a Japanese invention that leaves us bewildered. True, rainwater is wasted if you don’t collect it, but would you risk your health to quench your thirst? You can pick up a pretty cheap bottle of water at one of the 7-11s instead of relying on this weird contraption.

This rainwater collector uses an inverted umbrella and tubes to store water in a container. While a good idea, rainwater isn’t as pure as you might think. In fact, even if the water falls directly into a bucket without crashing onto roofs, you may end up drinking airborne pollutants.
