Even after the pandemic is over, we’re hoping that hand sanitizers, masks, and a heightened feeling of disgust for germs will still be common. But apparently, Japan is several steps ahead of us in terms of hygiene.
Taxi doors automatically open and close for their passengers. In fact, it’s been this way for nearly six decades now! This technology was installed on every cab when Tokyo hosted the Olympics back in 1964 as a way to limit the spread of germs.
