So, your introverted friend has finally sent you a text message after 50 months of silence. What’s your first reaction? If it’s to call them, do not do it! Calling them is the worst thing you could do to an introvert, apart from showing up at their door unannounced.
If you get a text message, reply in kind. Even if you have something incredibly important to tell them, you can do it via a 160-character text. If they need elaboration, ask them whether it’s okay to give them a call. If they say yes, give them 60 minutes to prepare their rehearsed answers.
