If you take the time out to seriously think about history, you’ll come to the conclusion that your great-grandfather’s lifestyle was probably not much different from your great-great-grandfather’s lifestyle. However, things have become so crazy that even ten years ago seems like a totally different planet.
Anyway, your ancestors are watching over you, hoping that their lineage will make something of themselves. Instead, what they see is someone playing Eye of the Tiger while lifting beer kegs in preparation for unmuting their mic and answering, “Yes,” during a Zoom meeting. Maybe your kin, if you’re fortunate enough to have kids, will be a bit more sociable.
