Chip in the Fork
If you saw this fork by itself, you would assume it’s just a chip and wonder what the big deal is. The OP didn’t think much about it either until he realized that this chip featured on multiple forks in his drawer. Surely, there was a reason behind it.
As it turns out, he was right. One tine is supposedly wider for cutting stuff but because it can’t stab as well as the others, they give it a clipped point. In case you were wondering, this can only be seen on dessert forks as it’s acceptable etiquette to cut desserts with a fork.
