War Pins
Many people seem to come across medals, pins, and other paraphernalia passed down by previous generations. We wish these ancestors would leave detailed stories about the origins of those pins because otherwise, we’re left to look to the internet for answers…just like this OP.
Apparently, they had these 3 bear pins lying around, 2 marked with the letters “RRW”, and they had no idea where they were from. According to the internet, these are Russian War Relief pins. In 1941, a month after Germany attacked Russia, an organization was set up in New York to provide relief to Russia and these pins belong to that organization.
