Puzzling Porcelain
It looks like thrift stores are the best places to find mysterious objects from the past. This OP found a two-piece porcelain object of Chinese origin. It looks somewhat like a small container, and it is but what was it used for? The internet, as always, came up with the right answer.
Apparently, this is a porcelain toothpick holder from China. According to historians, humans have been picking their teeth for a long, long time. Even the species that came before us seemingly used some sort of tools to pick their pearly whites. That’s a pretty fancy case for toothpicks if you ask us.
