No smoking in bars
The first bars banned smoking in the mid-1990s, and slowly but steadily, other bars across the nation followed suit. We don’t know about you, but we’re glad that we don’t have to inhale the second-hand smoke from inconsiderate smokers from across the bar.
This guy, who was in jail for presumably longer than a decade, learned of the law change when he tried to light a cigarette up at a bar. Thankfully, the bartender was cool about it and didn’t report it to the police (is smoking in a bar an arrestable offense?). The guy had just gotten out of prison, so, of course, he wasn’t aware of the rule change that took place ten years ago.
