The unnecessary rudeness
This guy’s story really opens up our eyes about life in prison. Presumably, people don’t get into fistfights every day behind bars. In fact, according to this guy, people are more or less polite to each other in the smaller. This is because you’re not sure what other people are capable of doing. That’s somewhat of a relief.
What took this guy by surprise was how rude people are out in the world. We totes understand where this is coming from. People will cut in front of you in lines for no reason. They’ll lie and cheat to get the tiniest advantage over you. We guess ex-cons have to be more consciously aware of how they react to unnecessary aggression.
