Relearning social norms
After spending so long away from society, it makes sense for long-term prisoners to re-learn what it’s like to live in society again. This person mentions two things. First, he wasn’t accustomed to general lawfulness, like not fleeing from a traffic accident scene when you’re fully insured.
The second thing was learning how to shrug things off. In jail, perhaps how you handle conflicts defines who you are as a man or woman. In the real world, you need to learn to let things go. Again, we’d like to remind you of how punching entitled jerks that yell at retail workers isn’t okay.
