Telephones
For most people, if an unknown number flashes on your phone’s screen, they’ll send the caller to voicemail. Back in the day, anyone who called was a cold-caller. We had no idea who was on the other line, and the only way to know was to pick up the handset. However, there was the satisfaction of angrily slamming the handset down.
Home phones are pretty much an obsolete piece of technology. Nowadays, we carry cell phones in our pockets or purses, and we can do a lot more than just text and call other people. A lot of you are probably reading this on your smartphone. That’s exactly what we mean by more than just communicate.
