Look at how silly Google’s website used to look back in the early-1990s. Back then, it had around 25 million pages to display, but that number has grown exponentially over the last few years. That’s actually an understatement. According to Google, it has over 130 trillion pages from across the world that you can access if you’re willing to go past the first page.
Here’s a funny story. In 1998, the co-founders of Google approached Yahoo to sell their search engine for a mere $1 million. Yahoo pulled an HBO and pretty much asked Google, “what do we need you for?” Fast-forward to 2015 and Yahoo was acquired by AOL after nearly going belly-up.
