Airplanes
Leonardo da Vinci designed his own flying machine back in the 1500s. He would pass away before anyone had developed a reliable flying contraption that allowed the rider to land safely and not succumb to fall damage. Then, when airplanes became the way to travel from country to country, they experienced significant technological advancements in very little time.
In the early-1900s, planes were still pretty small but could seat multiple people at once. A few decades later, modern aircrafts can transport more than 500 passengers at a time, with each passenger carrying over 20 pounds of luggage.
