Maximum Retail Price
Here’s something we all hate equally. Shopping for item A and finding out that store A sells it at a higher price than store B. Why is that, you ask? It’s because stores are only required to follow an MSRP (minimum suggested retail price) without a cap.
In India, it’s totes different. Anna pointed out that on the labels of every product, manufacturers actually print the maximum retail price, so you know that you don’t pay more than what it’s worth. Do some sellers sell their products at a higher price than the max retail price? They sure do, but they run their own convenience store business, and as we all know, convenience stores are convenient, but they’re also pretty pricey to shop there.
