The Only Eating Utensil You Need Is Your Right Hand
If you have two hands and live in India, you’ll learn that both of your hands serve very different purposes. This is actually true in many cultures across Asia and Africa. You use your right hand to eat and your left hand to clean yourself down there.
Using your left hand to eat will raise eyebrows and possibly receive awkward stares from those around you. Oh, and forget about using forks, spoons, and knives. In India, the only eating utensil you need is your right hand. In restaurants, they’ll provide a sink or a basin of water to wash your hands with before and after eating.
