With the right accessories and IKEA shelving, you can create a mini-kitchen island that would be ideal for small kitchen spaces. This basic open shelving unit was transformed with a wooden countertop and a couple of doors. The creator added a bar on the side for a dishtowel and a couple of casters for mobility. You’d never know this wasn’t originally a kitchen island!
