Creative IKEA Upgrades (Almost) Anybody Can Do

IKEA sells more than just furniture. It has a massive textile department. Their curtains, rugs, and bedding are all unlike items you can buy elsewhere. They also offer a large selection of throw pillows, but if you can’t find what you are looking for, you can even hack their textiles to create your own version of what you need.

These bench pillows weren’t originally pillows at all. These were once IKEA rugs, which somebody sewed into pillows. This would be an easy project to do with a sewing machine. Using rugs is a fantastic way to create these bench pillows because the fringe transformed into a cute fringe on the ends of the cushions.
