Mandy Moore today
In the early 2000s, after releasing three studio albums, Moore had an image of a “bubblegum pop” singer, a teen idol, if you will. She admitted all her music was beginning to “sound the same” and she wanted to break away from that image and try going in a new direction. In the early 2000s, she decided to turn to acting.
Her film debut was a voice narration in the comedy Dr. Dolittle 2, where she voiced a bear. In 2001, Moore co-starred alongside Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries. Moore released her four studio album in 2003, but in the following years, she focused mainly on her acting. She starred in A Walk to Remember (2002), Love, Wedding, Marriage (2011), and voiced Princess Rapunzel in Disney’s animated Tangled (2010). She still juggles between her music and acting career, and in March 2020 she released her seventh album.
