Mandy Moore then
Although she is most widely known for her acting career, Mandy Moore started out as a singer. It was only in the early 2000s that she made the transition to acting, and all throughout the nineties, her focus was primarily on singing. She began singing in the early nineties, at the age of thirteen, and it wasn’t long before she signed with a record label.
Moore had to drop out of high school in order to pursue her music career, but she took private lessons to make up for the loss. In the late nineties, she began touring as a singer with the then-popular boy band NSYNC, and later with the famous boy band Backstreet Boys. In 1999, she released her debut single, “Crazy.”
