#12: Gimbels
You may not believe it today, but one hundred years ago, Gimbel’s was pretty much Macy’s main rival. That’s not too shabby if you ask me for a company that was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gimbels was a fun store to wander around in but I can also personally attest that they really did have some good products.
