#9: Henry II of England (1133 – 1189)

Henry II of England married Eleanor of Aquitaine in 1152, and they were the ultimate power couple until they started fighting over the throne. He was a restless man who was always on the move and had a very bad temper. When his wife and sons tried to start a rebellion against him in 1173, he didn’t show any mercy. He put his wife under house arrest for 16 years. He only let her out for special holidays, proving that he valued his power much more than his marriage.
