#14: Louis XV of France (1710 – 1774)

Louis XV of France married Marie Leszczyńska in 1725, and they actually had 10 children together. However, he eventually grew bored and stopped visiting her rooms entirely. He spent the rest of his life focused on a string of famous mistresses like Madame de Pompadour. These women had more power in the French court than his own wife did. By the 1750s, the Queen was basically a ghost in her own palace while her husband’s girlfriends ran the show.
