#28: Park and Shop Board Game

After WWII, the Milton-Bradley Company in Massachusetts released Park and Shop, a board game inspired by Allentown, Pennsylvania, earning the title “The Nation’s Traffic Game Sensation.” Its gameplay bore similarities to the iconic Monopoly.

Initially launched by Traffic Games, Inc., Park and Shop was acquired by Milton-Bradley in 1954, which then tweaked its design. Despite these efforts, it never matched Monopoly’s success and was discontinued by the 1970s.
