#7: Don’t Assume
All hotels are not made equal. This is important to remember because sometimes guests show up to a hotel expecting certain commodities that the hotel simply doesn’t offer. Someone pointed out that not all hotels have mini-fridges in each room. Many smaller chains, like Holiday Inn and Ramada, don’t have room fridges included at their smaller locations.
While this is generally a bummer for some hotel guests, it’s a huge drawback for others. Hotel guests needing to refrigerate insulin and other medications can get upset when they learn their rooms don’t have a mini-fridge. It’s always a good idea to be prepared and call ahead to ensure the hotel has everything you need.
