#5: Anne Boleyn (1501 – 1536)
Henry VIII waited years to marry Anne Boleyn, even breaking away from the Catholic Church in 1533 to make it happen. She was smart and spoke her mind, which eventually bothered the King when she didn’t provide a male heir. By 1536, his advisors claimed she was unfaithful to several men, including her own brother. The King had her arrested in May, and she was gone just a few days later, leaving behind a very young daughter named Elizabeth.
