Charlotte Collyer and her 8-year-old daughter Marjorie survived the tragic sinking of the RMS Titanic, though the disaster took the life of Charlotte’s husband, Harvey. Rescuers wrapped Charlotte in a White Star Line blanket, a symbol of the company whose maiden voyage shattered countless families. After crew members pulled them from lifeboat 14 onto the RMS Carpathia, mother and daughter faced an uncertain future with heavy hearts, penniless and thousands of miles from home.
