Sable Starr
Stable Starr was dubbed the Queen of Groupies after how she pretty much wrote the book on how to barge into backstage dressing rooms. She had already mastered her craft before hitting the age of 18 years old—something that many rockstars were both appalled and impressed by.
At just 16 years old, she fled her home in order to be with New York Dolls’ Johnny Thunders. After that, she didn’t have much trouble catching the attention of more famous rockers, including Mick Jagger and Alice Cooper. After the 1970s, Sable claimed that she left the groupie world for good. She passed away in 2009 from brain cancer.
