Cleo Odzer
Cleo Odzer became involved in the wonderful world of rock music as a band writer in a local newspaper. Her affiliation with the press allowed her to meet musicians in person, such as Keith Emerson of the Nice. The two fell for each other and got married, but that didn’t last.
The cause for their ruined relationship was an article in Newsweek titled “Super Groupies,” where she was listed as one of the super-est groupies of all. Sadly, she died in 2001 at just 50 years old in India. She often flew there to take part in the drug culture, which ended up taking her life.
