Marianne Faithfull
Marianne Faithfull didn’t fit the stereotypical bill of a groupie. She was born to a rich family that was deeply involved in literature and art. People in her family’s social circle were taken aback when the Faithfull daughter deviated from her familial traditions in order to become a groupie for the Rolling Stones.
However, the band’s manager, Andrew Loog, saw something in her. She was incredibly passionate about singing, and it didn’t take long before she was singing alongside Mick Jagger and totally killing it before the two started hooking up. The two went their own separate ways, and Marianne continues to work on her musical career.
