25. Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a book by Roald Dahl, a novelist famous for his children’s stories that are sometimes a bit controversial and definitely a bit weird (mostly in a fun way). Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is arguably his most famous novel and has been adapted into film numerous times.
The first and arguably best version is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, with Gene Wilder as the childish and unhinged Willy Wonka. The film was a success, providing a good time with fun songs and visuals that remain ingrained in our minds.
