Many of Stephen King’s novels have been adapted into TV shows, miniseries, and movies, but some are better known than others. One of the most popular stories, especially in recent years, is It, a novel that really is just there to perpetuate the American fear of clowns.

It was first adapted into a miniseries with Tim Curry as Pennywise in 1991 and several other times after as well. But most recently it was released as a two-part film starring Bill Skarsgård as the clown of terror. Not only was the film successful, it became something of a cultural phenomenon.
