Good historical movies that still got history wrong

The Imitation Game (2014) introduced many viewers to Alan Turing’s work breaking German codes during World War II. The film invented personal conflicts, exaggerated Turing’s isolation, and suggested he worked largely alone. It also ignored the crucial contributions of Polish cryptographers whose earlier breakthroughs helped make later British successes possible.
