A superhero made of mysterious goo, Stretch Armstrong could pull, twist, and elongate beyond anything else on the toy shelf. Kids tested his limits relentlessly — stretching him across rooms, around furniture, and in ways the manufacturer probably never intended. Watching him snap back into shape felt magical. He was weird, durable, and unlike any action figure before or since.
