Looking inside of America’s pastime
There was one a time when baseball stadiums were packed with spectators. Nowadays, they’re lucky if they can fill 10% of their seats during regular season games. We’re not big fans of watching baseball, though it’s a fun sport to play. But one thing that mystified us as kids was how baseballs were made.
Well, our curiosity has finally been put to rest. In the center of every professional-grade baseball is a hard core. And it turns out that the majority of the ball is made up of a dark thread. Sadly for baseball, the process of making the ball is more fascinating than watching pros play the game.
