Though it’s easier to write the bare minimum, sometimes it’s better to elaborate in text messages, so as to avoid such misunderstandings. This father didn’t take the time to explain the new phone was for the sister, and so he could’ve shown some compassion to his son’s disappointment.
It is a really confusing text message. Though texting were meant to make our lives easier, as we’ve seen before, in some cases it’s better to pick up the phone. I wonder what the son’s face looked like when he received the second message from his father.
