Becoming more popular by remembering others’ names
While it’s funny that many of us have the same habit of forgetting the names of people we just met, your short-term memory loss (intentional or not) is not doing you any favors. If you want to be liked and respected, you have to make an effort at remembering other people’s names. Calling someone by their name lets them know that you respect them, and they’ll subconsciously reciprocate that feeling.
Plus, according to research, everyone’s favorite word is their own name. If you can use their name in conversation as often as possible without sounding weird, you’ll have a greater chance of winning them over.
