Stopping a rude talker mid-sentence
If common conflict-resolution tactics don’t work, feel free to use this cheap rude-talker-stopper technique. Let’s say that someone is being incredibly rude and not willing to compromise. Giving them the silent treatment only led them to become more hostile. To stop them mid-sentence, just tell them that they have something stuck in their teeth.
That should stop the person immediately. They’ll most likely excuse themselves to find a mirror and remove the nonexistent object. At best, they won’t come back for round two. Worst-case scenario, you’ve made them even more hostile. It’s a cheap shot, but nine times out of ten, it’ll get a person to leave you alone.
