A millimeter away from tetanus
Wherever you’re going, whatever you’re doing, always keep your eyes peeled. You never know what you’ll drive your car into or step on. In this person’s case, they were mere millimeters away from requiring a tetanus shot. Thankfully, this was in their backyard, so getting emergency help would have been possible.
It was incredibly lucky that the nail penetrated through the outer layer of skin. If it had gone in at another angle, this would have been a completely different story. We’d say you should wear boots when walking outdoors, but if you’re walking in your backyard, do you really need to suit up? Turns out, you probably should.
