Safety first
While handling any power tool of any sort, you should always wear the proper PPE. Just because you’re working at home or out of your garage doesn’t mean that things won’t quickly go awry. Lucky for this guy, he didn’t skip wearing protective eyewear, and he was spared from going partially blind.
His angle grinder’s disc had somehow become completely destroyed, causing fragments of the disc to go airborne at high speeds. One of the fragments would have pierced into his right eyeball had he been “too cool” for PPE. From this moment on, we’re never handling a power tool without wearing full-body armor.
