Almost seeing a light at the end of a tunnel
From a distance, trains don’t seem very quick, but they’re actually moving at much greater speeds than your car. Plus, they can weigh several tons of weight while carrying cargo or passengers, so stopping on a dime is nearly impossible. If anything is on its track, the driver needs to hit the brakes at least one mile to make a complete stop.
So, when this person’s car was stuck on the railroad, they were incredibly lucky that the driver could stop the train within several hundred feet of the car’s location. Thankfully, the police were there to take care of the situation, but the car owner probably got a ticket for causing so much trouble.
