Good As New
When you’re an unemployed college student, every penny counts. This OP came up with an ingenious way to save money on public transportation. This was back when tickets were validated with ink and before they became electronic. The OP would cover their ticket in a thin layer of glue so that the ink would stay on top of the glue layer.
Then, they would wash the ticket carefully with very little water to get the ink off. Once it was dry, they would have a brand new ticket. Apparently, this would last about a week before the ticket became unusable.
