I’m Busy Doing And Enjoying Nothing
Introverts find pleasure in activities they can do alone or with a small group. It’s no surprise that many introverted, gifted children enjoy reading. They also enjoy activities that help to extend themselves creatively, such as creative writing, music, and art. Introverted children enjoy quiet and imaginative play as well. When given preference in a group activity or game, introverts prefer to stand back and observe before joining in.
Many people mistake this for shyness, but it isn’t. They are more at ease in familiar situations and simply attempt to become acquainted with the activity before participating. Introverts are usually reserved. They loathe being the focus of attention, even if it is positive attention. Unsurprisingly, introverts do not boast about their accomplishments or knowledge. In fact, they may know more than they are willing to admit.
